Varsity tennis at Bishop Manogue is a fall sport. Conditioning, practice and point play starts in the summer. The boys’ varsity tennis team has been very competitive over the last several years. We have completed all of our seasons as a strong leader in the Northern Nevada Sierra League. Within the past four years we have been in the number one or number two position and also have had the opportunity to compete as a team in the NIAA State Tournament. We were also competitive in both singles and doubles in the Northern Nevada Regional playoffs.   We have had several singles players qualify for the NIAA State Tournament over the past several years. In addition we have had three Manogue tennis players continue on to play Division I tennis at the collegiate level within the past five years.

2012 Season Information

Summer conditioning for the Boy's Varsity Tennis Team will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Plumas Tennis Courts starting in mid-July.   Please refer back to this site for specific dates/times.

Tryouts will be August 13th-15th from 3:15-5:15pm.  Please note that it is highly recommended that interested players spend the spring and summer months on the tennis courts practicing all aspects of their game.  Some suggested activities include – lessons, tournaments (there are several satellite tournaments in the area throughout the summer), practice matches with other players, hitting against a wall and using a ball machine.I
