The Bishop Manogue cheerleading squad performs at varsity and junior varsity football games in the fall, at varsity boys and girls basketball games in the winter, and at rallies and school events year round. Cheerleading is open to both boys and girls.

Tryout and Summer Schedule Information

Tryouts are May 7, 8, and 9 from 5:30pm-7:30pm in the small gym. Anyone wishing to tryout must attend all 3 days or they will not be considered for the team.  There will NOT be any additional tryouts. 

The Scoring Sheet that will be used at tryouts can be downloaded here.

A Cheer Packet* (download here) plus a 2012-13 Athletic Clearance Packet must be turned in by 3 pm Friday, May 4.   Athletic Clearance Packets are now available in the front office. or at the links below*  Returning athletes should check with the athletic secretary carol.driscoll@bishopmanogue.org to see if their physicals are still valid.

*Part 1 of the Athletic Clearance Package is informational and is to be read by both parent and student. Part 2 of the Athletic Clearance Package needs to be completed by both the student and parent. Completed part 2 needs to be turned into the school.

Cheer Camp will be June 14th-17th and is mandatory for any cheerleader of the 2012-13 season

Summer breaks:  May 26th-June 10th, June 25th-July 8th,  and July 28th-Aug 6th.

Expect to practice during all other weeks during the summer.

*This packet will need to be signed prior to tryouts.  This way everyone has a full understanding of the season expectations before going through the tryout process.  All cheerleaders are expected to be in town and at games over the extended Christmas break.
