BLANKETS and WISH LISTS

For those who weren’t able to attend the Parents Association Green and Gold Tailgate, or for those who’d like to help out a bit more, we’ve got a couple of great opportunities for you:

  • Department Wish Lists still have quite a few blanks to be filled in. If you didn’t attend, or if you didn’t get a chance to browse them on the night of the event, follow the link above  to view them. You can choose exactly how you want to help out. Wish List donations can be dropped at the office or mailed to the school. Please be sure to indicate what department and item you are donating toward.
  • Blankets! If you attended the tailgate you saw the big, beautiful, hand-made, tie-dyed, Manogue-logoed, heavy fleece, tied blanket that was the must-have auction item of the evening. Now, for a limited time, you can purchase one of your very one for just $200. Throw in another $20 and we’ll add a stitched name and/or jersey number. These high-quality no-pill fleece blankets are wonderful mementos and, at 5’ X 9’, will keep you warm through all those frigid “spring” sporting events. See one by coming by the office. Get one by contacting Jana Wettig, janawettig@att.net or 846-7580. She’ll be taking orders until Friday, Nov. 11.
PARENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

The Safe & Sober Committee is looking for parent volunteers to work at the UNR football games on November 12 and 19, and on December 3.  You will report 2-3 hours before game time and work through halftime checking ID’s and putting on bracelets for the beer selling area at the game.  You can do shorter shifts if you need to.  You will get to watch the second half of the game for free and you get a food voucher as
well.  The Washoe County Safe and Sober Committee will make a cash donation to our Safe & Sober Fund if we help provide volunteers at the UNR games.  Please contact Mary Powell if you are available at 775-843-4477 or thereez@sbcglobal.net.

NEW! AN EASY WAY TO PAY

Parents are now able to login to MyBackpack and use a credit card to pay tuition, add money to a student account for lunch or campus store, and make donations.  Once you’re logged
in, look for the “My Accounts” tab and click “Pay online.”  You can then view you your account, pay for tuition, or add to your student’s debit account.  Donations can be made, and giving history viewed, by clicking on one of the options beneath the “Donations” heading.

In general, it will take approximately 24 hours for any payments made online to post to your account.  If you have any questions about the process, or need help, please contact Jolene Jaillet at Jolene.jaillet@bishopmanogue.org or 775-336-6008

FROM COUNSELING

Seniors, please check deadlines of college applications and give both teachers and counselors plenty of time for recommendations.

Blankets and Wish Lists! Tuesday, October 25th, 2011

Fun was in abundance on Saturday Oct. 15 for the Parents Association Green and Gold Tailgate Party and fundraiser. THANK YOU to the volunteers, vendors, table sponsors, attendees, faculty, staff, ticket buyers, students and everyone else who helped make the event truly memorable and a great success. In all you raised more than $34,800 to support Campus Ministry, Athletics, and Academics at our very own Bishop Manogue Catholic High School. The school and the Parents Association truly appreciate everyone’s enthusiastic participation.

For those who weren’t able to attend, or for those who’d like to help out a bit more, we’ve got a couple of great opportunities for you.

  • Department Wish Lists still have quite a few blanks to be filled in. If you didn’t attend, or if you didn’t get a chance to browse them on the night of the event, follow the link below to view them. You can choose exactly how you want to help out. Wish List donations can be dropped at the office or mailed to the school. Please be sure to indicate what department and item you are donating toward.  Follow this link http://www.bishopmanogue.org/parents/parents-association/documents/WishListforwebsite2011_000.pdf
Click here for an order form

Thank you again for your wonderful support!
