« Older Entries Accreditation Team Presents Final Report Friday, March 9th, 2012On February 29, 2012 Bishop Manogue Catholic High School marked the end of a two-year accreditation process when the Western Catholic Education Association’s (WCEA) visiting team presented its final report to faculty staff, parents and other members of the school community. The visiting team’s observations were overwhelming positive, citing student achievement and loyalty, a highly committed faculty and staff, and perseverance in overcoming economic challenges.

Manogue Soccer Players Contribute to Breast Cancer Cause Monday, January 9th, 2012The Bishop Manogue Catholic High School soccer program raised $1500 for the St. Mary’s Foundation Breast Health Center. “This gift will help so many women with their cancer screening needs,” said St. Mary’s Foundation Executive Director Cari Rovig.
Manogue Catholic High School Celebrates Its Namesake Monday, January 9th, 2012The Manogue “Miners” will celebrate the 150th anniversary of Bishop Patrick Manogue’s ordination as a priest with a Mass offered by Bishop Randolph Calvo. All are invited, with coffee and pastries to follow.
Manogue Graduate Brandon Turner Named Rhodes Scholar Monday, January 9th, 2012Brandon Turner, who graduated from Bishop Manogue Catholic High School in 2008, is among 32 Americans recently chosen by the Rhodes Trust to study at England’s Oxford University in 2012 as Rhodes Scholars. Turner is a senior at Wake Forest University in North Carolina majoring in biophysics and minoring in sociology and chemistry. At Oxford, he plans to pursue a Master of Science degree in global health science and then a master’s degree in public health. Turner says his goals include addressing the growing problems of chronic diseases in developing countries.
Live Nativity Tradition Continues at Bishop Manogue Monday, January 9th, 2012Bishop Manogue Catholic High School welcomes the public to attend its annual Live Nativity to be held in the school’s chapel. Students will perform reenactments lasting approximately 10 minutes. Between performances, visitors can enjoy holiday choir music and refreshments. Students will also be offering free gift wrapping, and the campus store will be open. The Nativity is free and open to the public, but the school does encourage visitors to donate nonperishable food items and warm clothing at the site to benefit local service organizations
Bishop Manogue Doubles Food Drive Donations Monday, November 21st, 2011Students at Bishop Manogue Catholic High School collected more than 6,600 food items, as well as more than $1800 in cash to purchase groceries, during their annual school-wide Thanksgiving food drive—that’s more than double what was collected during last year’s drive.
Governor to Help Manogue Student Honor Local Vets Thursday, November 3rd, 2011Governor Brain Sandoval will present a commemorative mural to local veterans and representatives from the Veteran’s Administration at Bishop Manogue Catholic High School. Creation of the fabric mural was spearheaded by Manogue sophomore Nick Powell, who after a taking a tour of the U.S. Naval Academy and logging nearly 60 volunteer hours at the local Veterans Administration, decided he wanted to somehow pay tribute to our nation’s heroes. He is asking all faculty, staff, and students at Bishop Manogue to also show their support by signing the mural. Please consider joining us for the presentation, which will take place in the Main Gym and last approximately 25 minutes

Bishop Manogue Catholic High School Parents Association Presents: A Green and Gold Tailgate Party Friday, October 14th, 2011The Bishop Manogue Catholic High School Parents Association is holding their annual Green and Gold fundraiser on Saturday October 15. This year, it’s a tailgate-style party, with local eateries providing an array of delicious food, and local microbreweries serving up their handiwork as well. All the proceeds go directly back to the school to support academics, athletics, and the faculty, administration and staff.
