National Honor Society Clothing Drive
The NHS clothing drive to benefit the Cerebral Palsy Association is being held at Manogue thru Friday, May 29th. All students are encouraged to donate their gently used old clothing to benefit this good cause. NHS members who need tutoring hours can drop by their clothing donations to Dr. Filler’s room, B215, to receive credit: one tutoring hour per grocery bag of clothing. There are donation barrels across from the Chapel so students can bring their donations at their convenience.
Summer Reading Information
All Manogue students, except incoming English 9 Regular students, have a summer reading requirement for the 2015-2016 school year. This year, in addition to reading the assigned novel(s), students are also required to complete a summer reading assignment. Every 9th, 10th, and 11th grade student received a hardcopy of this assignment in their English class. Assignments are also posted on the Manogue Website. Students need to turn in their completed summer reading assignment on the first day of English class next year. Please go to our website for links to reading lists and assignments.

360 Blueprint – Service opportunity for our students
A collaboration effort of the Reno Police Department, Washoe County School District, and Local Community Churches, 360 Blueprint is a mentoring program with two theme components, reading and relationships. The age group our program works with are children from first to sixth grade. Our program uses different techniques to teach the children how to read using kindles, and fun reading games. We ask for one hour a week as a requirement but would like it if two hours could be completed. If you want to make a difference in a local student’s life then contact 360blueprint.org and in the top right hand corner is a volunteer application button. Students or parents with questions may send Ashley Barrett an email at email@example.com or call for more information at 775-324-2583.
