Book of Remembrance

The entire month of November Masses will be dedicated for praying for our beloved dead. There is a special book at the chapel so you can write the names of your departed loved ones.

 

Senior Parents

It’s Yearbook Senior Tribute time!  Click here or come to the office for information on how to submit your tribute. If you have questions or problems, email jackie.cavilia@bishopmanogue.org. Tributes are due Friday, Dec. 15.

Remember: the Parking Lot is off limits during school hours!!

Students have all been issued school lockers. PLEASE DO NOT use your
car as your locker as the parking lot is off limits during school hours.  You may NOT go to your car for a forgotten binder, book or assignments or to get lunch or break money or food!!  All these items should be brought into school in the morning and placed in your school locker. The Office will NO LONGER issue passes to the Parking Lot during school hours.

 

 

From the Counseling Office:

Junior Night

Junior Night will be THIS EVENING, November 1 from 5-6pm in the SCC. Students and parents are encouraged to attend. Important information regarding the college search and application process will be presented.

NCWIT Award

The NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing (AiC) honors women in grades 9 through 12 who are active and interested in computing and technology, and encourages them to pursue their passions. Each National and Regional Affiliate winner, as well as each honorable mention receives: recognition at a Regional Affiliate Award event, an engraved award, scholarship and internship opportunities, entry to a peer-network of technical women, and various prizes (e.g., computing resources, gadgets, swag, and more). Seniors:

If you are applying to colleges at the regular decision deadline and need a counselor or teacher letter of recommendation, please turn in your resume and your reflection sheet to the appropriate faculty member by Wednesday, November 1. Forms can be picked up in the Counseling Office or may be found on the BMCHS College Counseling webpage.

Students who wish to be excused from class must request a pass from the Counseling Office at least one day before the presentation to be signed by their teacher.

Catholic College Fair

The Catholic College Fair will be held in the SCC on Tuesday, November 7 from 6-7:30pm. Families of all students are welcome to this event to learn more about the academic, athletic, and campus ministry programs of the universities in attendance. Colleges will include: the University of Dallas, Gonzaga University, the University of Portland, the University of San Francisco, Seattle University, and Seton Hall University.

Seniors

If you have invited Ms. McClintock to Common App as your recommender, you MUST provide your resume and brag sheet reflection questions to Ms. McClintock as well or you will not be getting an adequate letter of recommendation to accompany your application.

 

 

From Campus Ministry:

Quest 47

Quest 47 leader applications for December 3-4 retreat are due October 10-18. Pick one up in the counseling office. Quest 47 registration forms are available outside the attendance window or in the counseling office.

 

 

Do you know we have a Lost & Found?

We have several items that have been found around campus in the Front Office.  Have you lost a piece of jewelry? Glasses? Calculator? Etc.  It may be here. Please ask and we will see if we have it.

 

 

SCHOOL LUNCH by Roundabout Catering:

There is a full lunch meal available every day for $6.50.

Bowling- registration day @ Nat’l Bowling Sta. (2:40 pm release)

 

Girls Basketball Open Gym

Girls’ basketball open gym has begun. It will continue on Monday and Wednesday evenings 5:30-7:00 in the big gym until Wednesday, November 8th. Tryouts are Nov. 11 at 8 am and Nov 13 and 14 at 3:15 pm

 

Boys Basketball Open Gym

Boys Basketball open gyms have started! Open gyms will continue on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7 – 9 pm in the big gym until Wednesday, Nov. 8th. Tryouts are Nov. 11, 12:30 to 3:30 pm and 6:30 to 8:30 pm & Nov. 13 and 14:  7 to 9 pm.

 

Pre-Season Ski Training

Begins November 13 thru December 21.  Mondays and Tuesdays: 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm, Thursdays: 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm

 

The deadline for Winter Sports Clearance is Wednesday, Nov. 8.  Click here for information on how to complete the clearance process.
