We win! Manogue had nabbed the NIAA’s Award of Excellence in Academics, Athletics and Citizenship in two of the past three years.  That’s the result of a LOT of dedicated, hardworking and disciplined student-athletes and coaches—we could not be more proud! Bishop Manogue Varsity softball is putting on a skills clinic for girls ages 10 – 14 on Thurs., June 14, 12 pm to 4 pm.  Cost is $60 and each participant gets a T-shirt. Click here for the registration form and full details.

Coach Mike Henry will hold informal lacrosse training/practice sessions every other Thursday at 6 pm at Bishop Manogue beginning June 14. Boys and girls at any playing level are welcome to attend, younger siblings included—a great way to find out more about the game! There will be a Boys Basketball Summer Camp at Manogue June 18 –21 from 9 am to 2 pm. Camp is open to boys ages 8 to 14 (grades 2nd through 8th). Click here for the registration form and full details.

The Bishop Manogue soccer program will offer a summer soccer camp for boys and girls ages 8 – 15, June 25-28. Incoming freshmen interested in playing soccer are encouraged to attend. Click here for the registration form and complete details.

High Sierra Lacrosse League is offering a lacrosse summer camp for girls ages 11 – 18, June 25 – 29 from 12 pm to 4 pm. The camp will be held at Bishop Manogue. Access downloadable registration forms and get more information by clicking here.

Bishop Manogue Cheerleaders will be holding a summer camp for Grades K-8 at Bishop Manogue High School from July 9 – 12, 9am to 12pm. Cost is $130, and includes a Manogue Cheer shirt and water bottle. To sign up please e-mail coach Bryant at joann.bryant@bishopmanogue.org

Coach Matt Pendola will be offering a two-hour training and informational session for students interested in running cross country and track.  The session will be July 10 from 10am to 12 pm at Pendola Training, 1575 Linda Way, Suite 101, Sparks.  Cost is $40, or $35 if you register by June 15.  All proceeds go to Manogue Cross Country and Track Programs.

Reno Orthopaedic Clinic will offer sports physicals at its south Reno clinic on July 16, from 5 – 6:30 pm.  Profits from physicals done during this event will be donated to Manogue’s athletic training department. Details here!

Dennis Uniform Sales will be held in the small gym on Wed., July 18 and Thurs., July 19 from 10am to 6pm

Diocese of Reno Family Day at the Reno Aces will be July 28. Get details here!

Student Parking Permits will be issued on Mon., August 6 at the Attendance Window: seniors, 8am to 9:30 am; juniors,  9:30am  to 11am; sophomores, 11am to 12pm; all students, 12 pm to 2pm. Students will need a driver’s license and current vehicle registration to reserve a space

Book sales will be happening ONLINE this year!  Starting July 16, 2012 you will be able to purchase books for the upcoming school year at our ESCO Online Bookstore.

One piece of good news was inadvertently omitted from this issue’s “share Your News Section.”  We would like to congratulate Eric Paulsen ’06.  Eric graduated on September 2, 2011 from Full Sail University in Winter Park Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Recording Arts.  He is now back Reno employed at Leap Forward Gaming as their Sound Engineer.
