Online book sales are coming up! Starting July 16, 2012 you will be able to purchase books for the upcoming school year at our ESCO Online Bookstore. You should have recently received a letter and flyer from Dr. McBride outlining the process.  In order to know which books to buy, you will also need your child’s class selection list, which was sent in the same mailing.  If there are questions regarding class selections you can email your child’s counselor:   Mrs. McClintock, A – L, cathy.mcclintock@bishopmanogue.org; Mr. Rasmussen, M – Z, jan.rasmussen@bishopmanogue.org; or Mrs. Jaureguito, ILC, lisa.jaureguito@bishopmanogue.org.  Counselors will return to school fulltime beginning Aug. 1.  ESCO bookstore questions can be addressed to Sheree Cassingham at 775-336-6022 or sheree.cassingham@bishopmanogue.org.

Student Parking Permits will be issued on Mon., August 6 at the Attendance Window: seniors, 8am to 9:30 am; juniors,  9:30am  to 11am; sophomores, 11am to 12pm; all students, 12 pm to 2pm. Students will need a driver’s license and current vehicle registration to reserve a space.

Freshman Orientation and New Student Orientation will be August 10

Manogue Logo-Wear is 50% off this summer, so come gear up!  The store will be open from 8 am 2 pm, Monday through Thursday throughout the month of June. (July hours TBA)


Summer reading lists for students have been posted, and hopefully your children are enjoying their literary adventures.  Please remember that summer reading is MANDATORY for all students, and encourage them to pick up their books regularly throughout the summer.  Staying on top of their summer reading can really help them start the new year off right!


Parents’ Club is looking for senior students to design and submit artwork for the Senior t-shirt and sweatshirt!  See the details below:

We will most likely select two different designs, one for each shirt.   If your child would like to submit a design, please encourage them to do so.  There is no limit to how many designs they can submit.  The design should be planned for the back of the t-shirt or sweatshirt, can up to four colors, and can be done in any medium.  The names of all the seniors in the class can be incorporated into the design if desired. (We will supply the names later, but plan on about 140 students.) The color of the t-shirt and/or sweatshirt will be determined based on the artwork and designs chosen.

Please submit artwork to the school office. Identify your work clearly on the back, including student name and contact information, and address all submissions to Vicki McGowen so that they reach the right person.  You can also submit designs electronically to vickimcgowen@charter.net.  Finally, please send an email to that address to confirm your student is submitting art for consideration.

Submittal deadline is Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 2pm.  Remember that summer office hours are Mon. – Thurs., 8 am to 2 pm and that the school is closed the week of July 4.

The Bishop Manogue soccer program soccer camp for boys and girls ages 8 – 15, begins today and runs through Thursday. Click here for the registration form and complete details.

High Sierra Lacrosse League holding a lacrosse summer camp at Manogue starting today for girls ages 11 – 18. Camp runs from 12 pm to 4 pm through Friday. Access downloadable registration forms and get more information by clicking here.

Coach Mike Henry will hold informal lacrosse training/practice sessions every other Thursday at 6 pm at Bishop Manogue.  All are welcome. Remaining session dates are:  June 28, July 12, July 26, and August 9.  For information or questions email jackie.allen@bishopmanogue.org.

Bishop Manogue Cheerleaders will be holding a summer camp for Grades K-8 at Bishop Manogue High School from July 9 – 12, 9am to 12pm. Cost is $130, and includes a Manogue Cheer shirt and water bottle. To sign up please e-mail coach Bryant at joann.bryant@bishopmanogue.org

Cross Country Coach Matt Pendola will be offering a two-hour training and informational session for students interested in running cross country and track at Manogue.  The session will be July 10 from 10am to 12 pm at Pendola Training, 1575 Linda Way, Suite 101, Sparks.  Cost is $40, or $35 if you register by June 15.
