Regular office hours resume today, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Mon. – Fri.



Student Parking Permits will be issued on Mon., August 6 at the Attendance Window: seniors, 8am to 9:30 am; juniors,  9:30am  to 11am; sophomores, 11am to 12pm; all students, 12 pm to 2pm. Students will need a driver’s license and current vehicle registration to reserve a space.

Junior-Senior Parent Orientation will be Aug. 8, and the Freshman-Sophomore Parent Orientation will Aug 9.  Both take place from 6 pm to 7:30 pm in the Main Gym. There will also be an ILC Parent Meeting on Aug. 9 from 5 pm to 6 pm.

Freshman and New Student Orientation will be August 10, 8 am to 1pm.  This is the opportunity for new students to meet classmates, find their classes, and get the inside scoop on everything Bishop Manogue, all with the help of current Manogue student leaders.  Students will report to the Main Gym at 8am and the day will end with a BBQ lunch from 12 pm to 1 pm.

DigiGirlz Day is an opportunity for young women interested in technology careers to participate in hands-on workshops and connect with Microsoft employees. It’s being offered free of charge by Microsoft on Aug. 10 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Get the details here.

School resumes August 13, with a 9:30 start time the entire first week.

Steaks and Stogies is Aug. 18, 5 pm at the Tamarack Junction.  Click here for all the details on how to join the fun!

School pictures will be taken Aug. 15 for Juniors and Sophomores with last names ending in A – L, and Aug. 16 for Freshmen and Sophomore with last names ending in M – Z.

The Parents’ Association will host a Meet-and-Greet on Aug. 21 in the Student Community Center.  Come mingle with faculty and staff, 5 to 6:30 pm.

Senior Sunrise is Aug. 23 at 6:30 am.

There will be no school on Aug. 24 so teachers can attend a Diocesan retreat.


These will be mailed to parents and students on Wednesday, August 1. Locker and Homeroom assignments will be included with the information provided on the class schedules.  It’s a good idea to have your children visit the school prior to the first day of classes to get their lockers organized.  


Help us out by donating them for our International Student Program. Our International students will arrive in the U.S. shortly and are in need of used uniforms to start the school year.  Due to sizing differences from their native countries it is often difficult to gauge correct sizes for Dennis without first trying on uniforms.  This means they often don’t  have correctly sized uniforms in time for the start of school. We are in need of boys and girls polo shirts in S-M-L as well as uniform slacks and shorts in various sizes.  If interested you can drop of used uniforms at the front office or contact our Dean of Students Patrick Bell for more information: Patrick.Bell@bishopmanogue.org  or 775-336-6021.


In an effort to curb the wearing of improper uniform attire to school we have implemented a fee policy for students who use donated uniforms from the front office to get back into proper uniform during the school day.  This fee does not apply to families seeking used uniform attire for their students at the beginning of or throughout the school year.  The addendums to the Dress Code policy are below.

“Students who are out of uniform (shirt or pants/shorts) and cannot get back into uniform will be sent to the office to select proper uniform attire (if available) from our used uniform selection. A $5 fee will be assessed for uniform use for the day. These monies will go into the tuition assistance program to support BMCHS families who qualify for financial assistance.  If for any reason the student cannot get back into uniform while at school they will be given appropriate consequences as determined by the Dean of Students which may include detention, Saturday school, or being sent home for the day for severe infractions. Unpaid uniform fines may result in students serving Saturday school or financial holds placed on student records until such fines are paid.  Parents will be contacted of excessive fine amounts prior to the end of each grading period.”

“If male students need to shave, they will be required to do so at school and will be sent back to class, and may serve detention for multiple violations. A $1 razor fee will be assessed per violation to support replacement costs for providing razors to students who need to shave.”

Girls Golf will hold a mandatory meeting for golfers and parents on July 30, 3 pm to 5 pm at Arrowcreek Golf course.  Practices will be held Aug 6, 7, and 8 from 3 pm to 5 pm at Arrowcreek.


Summer conditioning for the Boys’ Varsity Tennis Team will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Reno Tennis Center on Plumas Ave. according to the following schedule:

Monday, July 30, 7:30am-9:00am

Tuesday, Aug 7, 5:30pm-7:00pm

Thursday Aug 9, 7:30am-9:00am

Tryouts will be August 13-15 from 3:15-5:15 pm.  It is highly recommended that interested players spend the spring and summer months on the tennis courts practicing all aspects of their game.  If you have any questions please contact Coach Renee Hinojosa at hinojosa5@sbcglobal.net  or 772-6125.

Boys’ Soccer  has a new Head Coach, CJ. All students, regardless of skill level, who are interested in joining the Cross Country team are encouraged to join summer conditioning sessions according to the following schedule:

Tuesdays, 7 am, at Rancho Park by the starting area of state/regional championships

Thursdays, 7 am, at Huffaker Park on the field to the trailhead

Fridays, 7 am, at the Sparks Marina parking lot by coffee shop

Summer conditioning for the Girls Tennis Team will be Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning July 10 from 6-7:30 pm at Reno Tennis Center on Plumas Ave. All interested players are encouraged to attend. Please come prepared with, plenty of water, tennis shoes and apparel, racquet and jump rope. Tryouts will be August 13, 2:45 pm at Reno Tennis Center. Girls’ Soccer optional training for new and returning players will take place from 7 am to 8:30 am on the following days:  July 24, 25, 26, 31 and Aug. 1, 2, 7, 8, 9. Tryouts begin Mon., August 13.
