Join the Cross-Country Team this Fall

The BMCHS Cross Country Team will conduct optional, individualized training workouts in preparation for the 2024 season, beginning in June. If you are interested in joining the team, you can fill out the form at this link HERE or contact Coach Ed Heywood at 775-843-2347 to arrange a brief meeting. At this meeting, the student-athlete and parents will be introduced to the program's philosophy and expectations. The sooner the student-athlete gets on a training plan, the better preparation and shape he/she will be in when the official start of the cross-country season begins on Monday, August 5, 2024. The team welcomes all ability levels from beginners to veterans. Most of our newcomers each year are new to running distance and therefore are put on an individualized progression training plan. There is no bench in cross-country as everyone on the team participates in meets and no one gets cut. Coach Heywood looks forward to meeting you and welcoming you into our cross-country family.

Reminders for BMCHS Athletic Contests

BMCHS welcomes positive messages displayed on signs at our athletic events. Targeted signs towards specific players or inappropriate signs are not permitted. Additionally, NIAA regulations state that any noise makers, including cowbells, air horns, boomboxes, speakers, etc. are also not allowed at NIAA-sanctioned events. Please help us comply with these regulations at our sporting events this Fall.

Please note: In the past, we have allowed for tailgating in a designated location on campus. However, due to the part of the BMCHS campus being closed to the public, we will no longer allow tailgating as we are limited on space and need to keep parking spaces open for spectators.
