Michael James London: 26 July, 1995 – 16 September, 2013
Michael James London was a proud graduate of Bishop Manogue’s class of 2013. With his quiet and unassuming character, he always had a smile, was forever willing to help, and was eternally nice to everybody. He was a product of the Reno Catholic School system and continually excelled academically. He did so because of his love of Catholic schooling and his disciplined study habits. He was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society at Little Flower Catholic School as well as the National Honor Society at Bishop Manogue. Membership is based on scholarship, leadership, service, character, and citizenship. These were the facets of Michael’s charm and will be the way he is joyfully remembered. His thirst for knowledge allowed him to graduate from Bishop Manogue with a weighted GPA of 4.01. He had a particular passion for anything science and loved being in the Environmental Club and on the Science Bowl Team. Also, his love for God was poignantly present at his Kairos retreat. His family and friends have benefited from his love and in his wake have seen the best of humanity.
Fittingly, this is a merit based scholarship with high standards for a junior or senior who loves their Catholic education. Special consideration will be given to candidates involved with the Science Bowl team and/or who have a strong passion for science in general.
