Welcome to Bishop Manogue Catholic High School! YOU, the students and parents, really are the heartbeat of our school. Without your faith, support and dedication, this wonderful school community and campus would not have grown into the shining example of excellence it is today.
To help familiarize you better with life as a Miner, please browse the students and parents sections of the website. In addition, below is a helpful overview of some important areas we would like to call your attention to:
Timeliness
We strive to do everything with excellence here at Bishop Manogue, and this begins with attendance and a timely arrival to school each day. With prayer and important Miner TV announcements, you won’t want to miss a second of our morning activities, or any important instruction time. We take your educational experience seriously and believe you do as well.
Uniforms
We set ourselves apart from other schools in many important ways, this includes our uniforms. We take pride in showing our Miner Spirit each day and expect a neat, clean appearance from our students. We believe how you present yourself matters, not only in high school but later in life, and strive to ensure our students are as prepared as possible for life after BMCHS. Beginning the 2017-18 school year, we partnered with EastBay Team Sales, with attire easily purchased online at eastbaystore.com/OFTSA376/Category/All. Students may purchase uniform bottoms in black or khaki from any store of their choosing. Please note, that these must be tweed material and cannot be athletic leggings or denim.
Books
Books are a necessary piece of our many learning tools here at Bishop Manogue. In order to make things as simple and as cost-efficient as possible for you, we partner with MBS Direct to be our official online textbook provider. Each school term, we will work side-by-side with MBS Direct to organize our Virtual Bookstore to match our students’ course schedules. Textbooks and course materials can be purchased online at mbsdirect.net/bishopmanogue.htm.
Service Hours
At Bishop Manogue, we believe the heart of faith in action is service. This is why we require each family contribute at least 20 hours of service to Bishop Manogue each year they attend. We believe parent participation, whether being present among our students or driving them to and from their countless activities, is a necessary component to the success of our school. We value and thank all the parents we see in our lunch room, campus store, administrative office, athletic and club events, parents association meetings, fundraisers, and athletic events.
