Parent service is vital to the life and mission of Bishop Manogue Catholic High School.  Parents, working on behalf of the school, help to strengthen and increase our spiritual and scholastic environment.  Service is a critical component in Catholic education. With strong volunteerism, we are able to provide all of the needed services and activities that create a quality, affordable, faith-based education for our children, while also building the kind of family atmosphere that has become a trademark of Bishop Manogue Catholic High School. Every Bishop Manogue family has an obligation to perform 20 hours of service to the school each year or pay a fee of $500.

With the spirit of volunteerism and service in mind, we want to provide you with notice that we are no longer accepting receipts in lieu of time in service to the school.  In order to receive credit for Parent Service Hours, parents must provide service to the school in the form of time and talent in adherence to the Parent Service Hours and Volunteer policies.

The Diocese of Reno has mandatory requirements for volunteering at Diocesan schools, including Bishop Manogue. Click here to review those requirements.

Current Service Hour Opportunities

  • Building A Scholastic Heritage (B.A.S.H.) is our annual gala for tuition assistance at BMCHS, and we can’t do it without your help! We really appreciate the partnership we have with our parent support. We would like to offer up to 10 service hours for Parent Service Hours by donating an item or multiple items to the B.A.S.H. auctions this year or up to 20 Service hours for up to $500.00 value items. One $25-dollar donation = 1 service hour. Receipts for such donated items need to be approved by Special Events or Administration. Please note we cannot provide a tax donation letter for service hour donations, however we can for all other donations above and beyond the $250.00. Approved hours must be turned into the Special Events Office or Administrative Assistant. Please click here to donate, and bring your donation and receipt to the front office no later than April 7, 2017. There are other ways to get involved in B.A.S.H. this year, so please feel free to contact Debbi Lehr at or (775) 336-6060 if you have any questions on how you can help this year’s B.A.S.H. be as successful as it can be!

  • Opportunities for parents to earn service hours with the Parents Association with Senior Lunches and/or Staff Appreciation Breakfasts are available. Please contact them for more information at
